Fantasy Rookie of the Year:

The self-explanatory rookies that met high expectations or exceeded low ones. Not many took gambles on these guys in drafts, or even in the first few weeks of waivers, but if you did, they just may have led your team to the fantasy playoffs.

  1. James Robinson

  2. Justin Jefferson

  3. Chase Claypool

  4. Justin Herbert

  5. Antonio Gibson

The 2020 draft was rumored to be a historic draft for WR talent. With 13 wide receivers taken in the first two rounds, it’s no surprise that two of them ended up on this list. Justin Jefferson was a first round pick who slotted into a void in Minnesota left by the departure of Stefon Diggs via trade to Buffalo. Jefferson made the most of an opportune situation by blossoming into a top-12 WR and not missing a game through 12 weeks.

Chase Claypool, on the other hand, was a late second round pick in Pittsburgh who is currently a top-20 WR with only one game under 10 points since the Steelers’ altered week 4 bye.

James Robinson, winner of this category, was an unknown, undrafted rookie out of Illinois State. His preseason ADP was outside the top 300, and outside the top 90 RBs, making him likely the best value of any player in Fantasy Football this season. He’s enjoyed a season that saw him become a top-5 RB in a year with so much uncertainty at the position.

Justin Herbert, the top scoring rookie in fantasy football this season, has blossomed into a top-8 QB, and a reliable week-to-week starting option. The late blooming Antonio Gibson has exploded lately and climbed the ranks into the top 5 RBs just behind Robinson, rounding out the list.
