Fantasy Disappointment of the Year:

There were tons of injuries this year. Major, league-defining injuries like Christian McCaffrey and Saquon Barkley. These players will not make the list. The players on this list were drafted with sky-high expectations and fell flat, for one reason or another. These are the draft picks who may have lost you your league, if you didn’t bail soon enough.

  1. Lamar Jackson

  2. Michael Gallup

  3. Mark Ingram

  4. TY Hilton

  5. Ezekiel Elliott

There likely was not a team in your Fantasy league that did not deal with injury problems in 2020. From consensus number 1 overall pick Christian McCaffrey, to QB stud Dak Prescott, to the record-setting WR Michael Thomas, there were plenty of injury letdowns this year.

Then, to add to that, the #2 drafted QB, Lamar Jackson, whom I had pegged as a preseason “Avoid” player in drafts, proved me right, and currently sits outside the top 10 QBs after having been drafted within the first two rounds in most leagues.

Michael Gallup, a popular preseason breakout candidate, and a player in which I had a lot of stake, disappointed even when Dak Prescott was healthy and throwing to him, thanks to the early-season success of CeeDee Lamb in Dallas.

TY Hilton, the veteran, former-fantasy-stud WR, now sits outside the top 65 WRs and has only one TD this season, despite the QB upgrade from 2019. he was drafted as a mid-20s WR this season, so anyone who went in that direction got burned pretty badly.

And finally, after averaging over 22 points per game through 5 weeks (before the injury to Dak Prescott), Ezekiel Elliot has faced stacked box after stacked box since and has averaged under 10 ppg in the 6 games since. After looking like the steal of the draft (#3 overall ADP) after having avoided injury like the top 2, McCaffrey and Barkley, Elliott has fallen victim to 2020’s injury woes as well, even though he himself has remained healthy.
