Fantasy Stars & Studs, Week 13: Stafford a smart playoff waiver add
Fantasy titles could be won with waiver wire adds.
With Week 13 of the NFL season in the books, it is time for the playoffs… at least in the world of fantasy football.
While there are still four weeks of real football to go, in fantasy leagues everywhere it is the time of year where championships are decided.
If your team didn’t make the dance, sorry, but you have to settle for the obscurity of the consolation ladder. In other words, you’re playing out the string, better luck next year.
However, if you are still in the hunt for the title, now is the time to study your roster and see if any improvements can be made via the waiver wire.
Week 13 revealed some potential options in that regard as several players who are not widely owned showed they can be valuable fantasy contributors in the coming weeks.
Among that group is a quarterback who played at his gunslinging best under an interim head coach and a receiver who delivered an emphatic reminder of his prowess from the slot on Monday Night Football.
An NFC East defense features after delivering one of the biggest shocks of last Sunday’s slate, while a running back from the NFC West and a wide receiver from the AFC South are also on this list of exciting fantasy free agents.
In this week’s edition of Stars and Studs, we look at four players and a defense who can make a significant impact on the fantasy playoffs.
