NFL puts players in danger by playing Cowboys-Ravens after Dez Bryant’s positive COVID-19 test.

When it was revealed just moments before kickoff that Dez Bryant had tested positive for COVID-19 and was pulled from the game, many thought the game would not be played. And for good reason. If the NFL feels that Bryant shouldn’t play (he shouldn’t) then they should also halt all the players he came in contact with just minutes before the game began … and there’s plenty.

Even Bryant himself thought the game would be postponed.

“Since I tested positive for Covid before the game do the game stop or go on?” he wrote on Twitter following a series of tweets voicing his displeasure.

Dez Bryant was seen hugging coaches and shaking hands before the game

And there was plenty of photo evidence that he had close contact with various players and coaches during his pre-game warmup.

In a since-deleted tweet, there were photos of Bryant hugging people.

And in another, he’s seen shaking hands with Dallas Cowboys linebacker Justin March.

The United States Covid-19 response has been lackluster at best. We are currently in the second surge of cases and people need to be taking things much more seriously than they are. As of press time, there were 15.1 million confirmed cases and a whopping 285,000 deaths.

The bottom line is the protocol only works if it’s followed and it seems it’s not being followed on Tuesday night. Let’s hope this game isn’t going to come back to haunt the NFL.
