Okay, now this would be an interesting development
I do not know how this would ultimately work out, but I would have my popcorn ready, just to see this come to fruition. Instead of getting ripped to pieces as an intern for Saban in Tuscaloosa or doing the same ole, same ole for Belichick up in Foxborough, why not go to a place where he has never been before, while simultaneously making both Saban and Belichick immensely jealous?
Yes, I am talking about Patricia taking his talents to South Beach and joining former New England colleague Brian Flores’ staff on the Miami Dolphins. This is the team where Saban failed as an NFL head coach, partially because the Miami medical staff would not clear Drew Brees, only to go with a far-more-broken Daunte Culpepper. Miami also plays in the same division as New England.
Not to say the Lions were at the nadir under Patricia because they have been so, so worse historically, but joining a team on the rise in Miami would certainly be more advantageous long-term than going to a place at the apex in Alabama and one on the decline in New England. If Patricia succeeds in Miami, it may do more than going to rehab at either other coaching stop.

While it may take some time for Patricia to find his footing in Miami, this is a Dolphins team that will presumably challenge the Buffalo Bills for divisional supremacy in the early 2020s. New England may continue to do so for a year or so, while the New York Jets continue to be the Jets. I cannot wait to see his unkempt beard and sweated-through teal polos for years to come in Miami.
He may be at rock bottom as an NFL head coach, but Patricia will absolutely be coaching in 2021.
