The Golden State Warriors star decided to show off by making trick shots from the tunnels of the Chase Center.

The 2019-20 NBA Playoffs just ended over two months ago, and we’re now onto the preseason for the 2020-21 campaign. On Saturday, the Golden State Warriors returned to the Chase Center in San Francisco for the first-time since March, as they face off against the Denver Nuggets. There won’t be any fans in attendance due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. With the arena empty, that allowed star point guard Stephen Curry to perform a new trick shot.

During team shoot-around, Curry decided to take some shots from the stands. Standing at the top step of the tunnel, Curry hit nothing but net and immediately retreated bak down to the court. Of course, the tremendous trick shot was captured on camera.

Curry was cooking in pregame

Curry is no stranger to the tunnel shot, as he did the same at the Oracle Arena, the team’s former home in Oakland, Calif. In fact, when the Warriors moved to Chase Center, the trademark shot seemed nearly impossible due the tunnel being behind the basket. However, since the arena was closed to the public, Curry opted to take the Oracle Arena-style tunnel shot, albeit elevated.

The Warriors are looking to return to their former heights following an uncharacteristic 2019-20 season. The team already lost Klay Thompson to a torn ACL and Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets, but they at least had Curry and Draymond Green. The hope was short-lived, as Curry broke his hand early in the campaign, limiting him to five games before league paused activities earlier this year.

This year, the Warriors will once again be without Thompson, who tore his Achilles tendon a few weeks ago. Yet the team will bank on the new additions of Kelly Oubre Jr. and rookie big man James Wiseman to help bring Golden State back to the playoffs.

As long as Curry is healthy and continues making shots like this with ease, the Warriors should feel confident this season.

Warriors fan have to be patient to watch James Wiseman. dark. Next
