This Sunday will show how far Miami has truly come, as they will lock horns with Patrick Mahomes and an 11-1 Kansas City Chiefs team that could end up with the No. 1 seed in the AFC at the end of the day.

What to watch for in Dolphins vs Chiefs

Flores and defensive coordinator Josh Boyer have done a tremendous job of making this Miami defense, and their secondary in particular, one of the league’s most cohesive units. That defense will get their toughest challenge of the year in this matchup, as Mahomes is once again putting up MVP-caliber numbers.

The Dolphins have won four of Tagovailoa’s first five starts, but he has thrown for 170 or more yards in just two of them, showing that he is firmly in a game manager role to start his career. While the Chiefs have an exploitable secondary, Tyrann Mathieu returning to full health could give Steve Spagnuolo the freedom to dial up creative blitzes. Still, Tagovailoa has yet to throw an interception, and there is a good chance he keeps that streak alive in this game.
