16. player. 808. . CB. Trojans . Ceyair Wright

  • High School: Loyola (Los Angeles, CA)
  • Composite Rankings: No. 77, No. 6 CB

Ceyair Wright fits the mold of the modern-day cornerback perfectly. The Loyola defensive back has made a name for himself because of his unique blend of size, athleticism and ability to play on both sides of the ball.

He could slot in as a wide receiver at the college level but scouts believe he will end up playing cornerback due to his unique abilities. At 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, Wright possesses a good build with the speed to match up with any receiver.

He’s going to end up with interceptions because of his ability to close on the ball while thinking like a receiver. Staying at home and playing for USC seems like the likely decision for Wright as he looks to transform his game to Saturday’s.

Arizona State is also hot after the cornerback and the Sun Devils have done well recruiting in southern California, thanks in part to Antonio Pierce. However, the consensus seems to be that Wright will opt for the Trojans.

There is a scheduled announcement time for the athlete’s decision. Wright’s announcement is set to come on Jan. 2. We won’t know where he chooses to sign his letter of intent until after early National Signing Day.
