A big National Signing Day prize is now available. Running back Armoni Goodwin, who once was committed to Auburn, is now exploring all options again and that opens the door for another program to land a dynamic running back.
Goodwin is an explosive runner with a small 5-foot-8 frame. The running back had to work his way back after sustaining two torn knee ligaments in 2019. By all accounts, he has looked just fine after rushing for 18 touchdowns in his senior season.
The running back clearly doesn’t want to rush a decision here and it makes all the sense in the world to take as much time as necessary to decide on one. Goodwin’s desire can’t be understated with the way he came roaring back and the program that lands him is going to get a major weapon.
While the Tigers should still be in play despite the running back removing his commitment to the program, it opens the door for another in-state program, Alabama, which has also offered Goodwin.
With the Crimson Tide being an absolute running back factory, it would be hard to turn them down. The allure of also competing at the highest stage also has to be a major factor and Goodwin can get that with Alabama.
