Here are grades for the Alabama football 2021 recruiting class at Early National Signing Day as the Crimson Tide aim to stay atop the college football world.

Under Nick Saban, Alabama football has been a juggernaut. And while the coaching staff has a large hand in that, it’s no secret that their recruiting may play an even bigger role. That’s not going to change as we sit at Early National Signing Day for the 2021 class either.

Alabama football has brought in either the No. 1 or 2 recruiting class in four of the last five years. And it’ll be five of the last six years once the 2021 cycle is complete, bolstering their already strong class by flipping 4-star defensive end Keanu Koht from rival LSU.

With that, let’s dive into the class and see how it grades out. Note: All recruiting rankings are via the 247 Sports Composite.

Alabama football top 2021 recruit: JC Latham, OT (Bradenton, FL)

Latham headlines an all-timer offensive line class for Alabama, and it’s clear why he’s the star. The No. 2 overall player in the 247 Sports Composite, Latham could see time early at tackle with Alex Leatherwood set to head to the NFL after this season. With his strong frame and mobility, he should be the next dominant tackle to pass through Tuscaloosa.

Alabama football recruiting strengths and weaknesses for 2021

As mentioned, the offensive line class for the Crimson Tide is simply absurd. Latham and Tommy Brockermeyer are the two best offensive tackles in the country while Tommy’s brother, James, is the top-ranked center recruit and is also part of this class. The No. 2 guard in the class, Terrence Ferguson, is also a hard commit. The safety spot is likely the weakest point of the class, boasting just one signing, Kaine Williams, who is only No. 10 at the position.

Diamond in the rough for Alabama football: Robbie Ouzts, TE (Rock Hill, SC)

Ouzts ranks outside of the top 600 of the 247 Sports Composite, but his versatility will be an asset for the Tide. He can line up at tight end or in the backfield and has experience as a ball-carrier, pass-catcher and blocker that will make him a useful offensive piece.

Where does Alabama football rank nationally and in the SEC in recruiting?

Not shockingly, Alabama football has accrued the No. 1-ranked class in the country, which also makes them tops in the SEC. Not too shabby — but also not unexpected — for the Crimson Tide.

Alabama football 2021 recruiting grade: A+

Put simply, Alabama football has the best class in the country. It’s going to be hard for any program to catch them, so that’s another big win for Nick Saban and Co.
