Knicks fans reacted on Twitter to Julius Randle’s performance Wednesday night against the Cavaliers.
The New York Knicks pulled off a nice comeback victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in some Wednesday night preseason action.
Julius Randle ended up being the Knicks’ high scorer from the game, but fans still reacted negatively to his night on Twitter. The expectations are high for the player earning the most on the roster, and fans found several ways to be frustrated with his latest performance.

Julius Randle drawing heat from Knicks fans
Those unhappy with his night will tell you the 18 points are a smokescreen for his true outing. Randle is still seen dribbling far too much for a player with his skill-set, and his plus-minus of minus-9 in a game his team won by seven points is suspect.
I don’t know how many more “Payton/Randle only touch the ball” possessions I can take. It’s like Obi/RJ/Quickley are there just for decoration.

30 minutes of Randle/Bullock/Payton just to get blown out by a Sexton-less, Love-less, Nance-less Cavs team in preseason lmfao

“You should probably stop turning the ball over Julius.”

The good news is the Knicks did win the game. However, it was the reserves who outscored the Cavs 34-13 in the fourth quarter.
There's nothing Julius Randle wouldn't do before he ever passes it to RJ Barrett wide open in the corner.

Knicks fans have not seen their team in the playoffs since the 2012-13 season. The front office has continually missed out on top free agents and now has some real nice young pieces in Obi Toppin and RJ Barrett. If the team is still going to stink, those guys are the ones who need more touches over someone like Randle.
Julius Randle processing is like WIFI on greyhound bus. If it's only a few seconds laggy and spotty you just gotta be happy with it for the next 2 hours

Final plus/minus in the Knicks win over the Cavs:
— Tommy Beer (@TommyBeer) December 17, 2020
Julius Randle: minus-9
Elf Payton: minus-7
Obi Toppin: plus+16
Immanuel Quickly: plus+19
Next. James Harden, Andrew Wiggins and this year’s trade bait. dark
This is still the preseason, so fans may be overreacting after an 18-point night for Randle. However, Randle does not seem to be a legitimate long-term piece, and it is fair for fans to wonder whether the front office can see this or if they are just ignoring reality.
