College football best bets for Championship Week include action in the ACC, Big 12 and SEC in addition to some other tasty wagers you can bank on.
Championship Week has finally arrived in the 2020 college football season. Of course, just like everything else this year, it’s not like normal. While we have several teams vying for a conference championship, there are several other teams in matchups that don’t have a title on the line as they try to wrap up their regular seasons. Crucially, this gives us more options to find our best bets and picks of the week.
There are two best bets we’ve picked for college football Championship Week that don’t have a conference title on the line — but they are ones to feel confident in. The other three, however, are all Power 5 conference championship games that you can wager on and feel good that you’ve got a winner in-hand.
With all of this in mind, let’s get into the five best bets for college football Championship Week.

College football best bets for Championship Week
5. Oklahoma (-6) at Iowa State
Iowa State beating Oklahoma early in the 2020 regular season was a big shock to the system for everyone, one that set us on the path to where we currently sit. But now that the Cyclones and Sooners have a rematch in the Big 12 Championship Game, things are different.
Not only has Spencer Rattler matured by Oklahoma is miles better on both sides of the ball than they were early in the season when they suffered their two losses. Iowa State is still good but, especially with the Cyclones already having gotten their win against OU, it’s hard to think the Sooners can’t come out on top by a touchdown.
4. Air Force at Army – Under 37.5
This is something we’ve been driving home all year so why stop at Championship Week? With the Army-Navy game last week, the under has hit 37 of the last 47 times that service academies have faced one another. This is another extremely low total as oddsmakers are clearly aware of this trend — but it’s not low enough. Army and Air Force’s offenses haven’t been outstanding and the defenses are solid. Take the under and feel confident in it.
3. Ole Miss (-2.5) at LSU
LSU upsetting Florida last week has this line all out of wack. For the most part in the 2020 season, the Tigers defense has been a real issue when they’ve had to face a strong offense and their own offense has been anything but consistent.
The Lane Train and Ole Miss have been rolling on offense this season with Matt Corral and, frankly, have been getting better overall throughout the year. The Rebs are going to cap off their regular season with a strong win as they should likely be about a touchdown favorite in this matchup.
2. Clemson (-10.5) at Notre Dame
Some people believe that this line is way too high, that Clemson performed well enough without Trevor Lawrence and several defensive players in the first meeting with Notre Dame that the Fighting Irish deserve more respect than this. I’m not among them, though.
Notre Dame is a very good football team but Clemson not only gets better with Lawrence, they’re also motivated after the early-season loss. On top of that, it’s hard for me to believe Ian Book plays the game of his life again in the ACC Championship Game, which should lead to a decisive victory for the Tigers.
1. Alabama at Florida – Over 73.5
Alabama is nearly a three-touchdown favorite over Florida and, for my money, that’s where I’d put my money for this game. Dan Mullen’s team just doesn’t have a shot of stopping Mac Jones and the Crimson Tide offense. But at the same time, Alabama isn’t going to stop Kyle Trask and the Gators for 60 minutes either.
That’s why the over for this game is the best bet for the SEC Championship Game. These teams are going to put up a ton of points and, frankly, I wouldn’t be shocked if the final tally was closer to 100 total points than it is to 73.5.
