Stefon Diggs has already set a Bills franchise record in his first season with the team.

The acquisition of Stefon Diggs was a monumental move for the Buffalo Bills. He is a main reason why the team is off to a 10-3 start and close to clinching the AFC East division crown.

Diggs also entered Saturday’s game against the Denver Broncos on the verge of making history. He ended up doing just that by setting a new franchise record for receptions in a single season.

Diggs making history in Buffalo

The previous record was held by Eric Moulds. The former Bills receiver had 100 receptions in 2002. He had and Diggs are the only two receivers in franchise history to reach triple digits in a season.

Diggs also has the most receptions in the NFL so far this season. Second is Keenan Allen at an even 100.

The Buffalo receiving corps is a very top-heavy group with Diggs and Cole Beasley combining for most of the receptions. The former is now over 100 and Beasley entered the day with 71. Running back Devin Singletary entered the day third with 32 grabs on the year.

The most important thing for Bills fans is the fact the team is winning. A victory Saturday clinches the team’s first AFC East crown since 1995, which also happens to be the last time the team won a playoff game.

Having Diggs as a No. 1 receiver makes the Bills a real contender and him setting this new record is no surprise to anyone who has watched how well he has played with Josh Allen this season.

Now fans will see how high this new record can go. The only person who may be able to break it moving forward may be Diggs himself.
