The Bills are trying to make franchise history Saturday against the Broncos.

There are two NFL games Saturday for football fans to watch while taking in all the college madness. The first matchup is between the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos in what is a game with playoff implications for one side.

The Bills are looking to clinch an AFC East crown for the first time since 1995 while the Broncos want to see if Drew Lock is the quarterback of the future. Plenty of drama should be in store and as the Broncos look to play the role of spoiler.

Postseason dreams in Buffalo

The Bills have not technically clinched a playoff spot, but it would take chaos for them to miss out this year. What they want now is the win the division and a win Saturday secures that. The same is true with a loss if the Miami Dolphins lose Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Winning a game to clinch is obviously the better option and the task comes against a Denver team that is tough to read. They just took down the Carolina Panthers a week ago to improve to 5-8 and kept it close with the Kansas City Chiefs before that.

The focus near the end of the 2020 season is on Drew Lock. He threw four touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Panthers. But all that did was even his yearly total of touchdowns and interceptions at 13 apiece.

A win over a tough Buffalo team would be a great sign for Lock and his future with the team. Another multi-interception game may be enough evidence for John Elway to move on in 2021.

These two teams are in different places and a win would be huge for both sides. Buffalo is trying to win the division and fight for the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff picture. Denver is seeking clarity at the most important position on the field. This should be a fun one in the frigid Denver air.
