Crowell isn’t in a great spot as a running back. Not only is he starting to get up there in age, a fact that could lead to what precious little speed the power-runner has left getting sapped away, but he hasn’t played in 2019 or 2020 due to an injury picked up with the Raiders last season. However, desperate times call for desperate measures, and the Chiefs could look to sign Crowell, who made his name with the Browns and Jets, to give their running back room a between-the-tackles thumper.

Crowell, a former star at Georgia before eventually transferring to an FCS school in Alabama State that helped him go undrafted, put together a solid resume in Cleveland and New York, running for at least 600 yards in five straight seasons. While an excellent receiver in Bell might need to take on more of the workload in that department with Edwards-Helaire likely on the mend, and they could replace Bell inside by giving it to a bruising runner with some big-play ability in Crowell, provided he is 100 percent healthy.
