With Yadier Molina potentially leaving the Cardinals in free agency, Carlos Martinez sure made it seem like he may be leaving St. Louis.

Everyone in St. Louis is sitting on pins and needles waiting to see what the future holds for future Hall of Fame catcher Yadier Molina. A fan favorite of the Cardinals, Molina is a free agent and could be ready to leave town.

There are several teams interested in signing him, only adding to the intrigue of his upcoming decision. As you might imagine, several Cardinals players are hoping Martinez somehow ends up staying in town. This includes stud Carlos Martinez.

Carlos Martinez’s comment on Yadier Molina’s Instagram post will leave Cards fans guessing

As you can see above, Martinez apologized on Molina’s post? But for what? This is leaving everyone guessing as to what exactly is going on here. While it may be nothing, it could be Martinez hinting at a possible exit for the veteran catcher.

If Molina does end up leaving, it’s going to be difficult to watch for fans everywhere to see him don a new uniform starting in 2021. Molina has been with the Cardinals organization since 2004 and has been a tremendous player ever since.

Molina has been selected to play in the All-Star game nine times and has been sensational both offensively and defensively. While he’s climbing a little bit in age, he’s still got plenty left in the tank and is ready to have another big year in 2021.

For now, fans across the country are going to have to wait and see where Molina decides to suit up. From the looks of things, though, it sure feels like the veteran back-stop may have played his last game for the Cardinals.
