Giants getting roasted for all-time horrible fake field goal attempt (Video)

The New York Giants attempted a trick play against the Cleveland Browns, but they ended up fooling themselves.
When it comes to the physical embodiment of the year 2020, look no further than the NFC East. The Washington Football Team, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are essentially playing hot potato in the division. We’ve seen each team do something outside the box to get an advantage. The Giants tried to do so on Sunday, and it blew up in their faces.
In their game against the Cleveland Browns, the Giants and backup quarterback Colt McCoy marched down the field all the way to the red zone. Instead of taking the field goal on fourth-and-goal, head coach Joe Judge decided to call a fake, which saw punter Riley Dixon attempt to throw a touchdown pass to center Nick Gates. The play ended…disastrously for the Giants.
We’re all for creativeness, but sheesh
Look, we admire any NFL team that decides making a gutsy call, but that play was not it. The Giants obviously wanted to make a statement against the playoff-contending Browns, and the former New England Patriots special teams coordinator in Judge wanted to utilize a trick play with Dixon. The thing is, Dixon’s accuracy is far from ideal, as it soared over the extended arm of Gates.
The Giants are no secret to dong whatever it takes to win games and gain sole possession of first place in the division. This is a team that rotates their offensive lineman in games with the purpose of having the freshest players standing at the line of scrimmage.
In this instance, this play call gets an “F” in creativeness and in execution. Judge can officially throw this play directly into the trash can.
