Ben Roethlisberger is having such a poor performance against the Cincinnati Bengals that Pittsburgh Steelers fans actually want him benched for Mason Rudolph.
The Pittsburgh Steelers entered “Monday Night Football” on a two-game losing streak but were expected to have an easy day at the office against the lowly Cincinnati Bengals. That hasn’t been the case thus far, as the offense was non-existent through the first half of their game.
Pittsburgh’s worst performer on the night was quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who at one point had negative yardage midway through the second quarter. The 17-year veteran has played so poorly that Steelers fans were actually calling for him to be benched for one Mason Rudolph!
Guys, I don’t think Mason Rudolph is good.

I now have more faith in Mason Rudolph to finish this game than Ben Roethlisberger. Sad times in Pittsburgh. https://t.co/U7ZzSqIMJC

Mason Rudolph in the 2nd half, have to do it

I might be team Mason Rudolph coming out of the half tbh.

Steelers offense has been lifeless since opening kickoff
Rudolph was the bane of many Steelers fans’ existence for his play in relief of an injured Roethlisberger last season. The fact that many in the fanbase are asking head coach MIke Tomlin to give Rudolph a second chance is truly a sign of sad times in the Steel City.
In the first half, Roethlisberger completed 7-of-16 of his pass attempts for a grand total of 19 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception. To make matters even worse for Steelers fans, the offense only accumulated two first downs in the half, as opposed to Cincinnati’s seven.
Pittsburgh was undefeated just two weeks ago, but if you watched how they played against the lowly Bengals, it feels like that 11-0 record happened two decades ago.
