2. Spreading the rock
For years fans have complained about the lack of weapons in Philadelphia that Wentz has been given. It looked like Jalen Reagor was a bust while Greg Ward Jr. shouldn’t even be on a practice squad. All the “star receivers” were injured, thus causing Wentz to struggle.
On Sunday, Hurts connected with seven different targets at least twice and nine players total. Two scores went to Ward while Reagor led the team in receptions with five. Quez Watkins, who barely saw the field when Wentz played, hauled in his first touchdown thanks to blocking downfield.
Jalen Hurts is the first Eagles QB to complete seven passes of at least 20 yards since Nick Foles vs. the Texans in 2018

23 ... Reagor
FOLES

Sure, Hurts had three fumbles on the day but none were recovered by Arizona. He completed 24 of 44 passes for 338 yards and helped Philadelphia convert 75 percent of the time on fourth down.

The Eagles have hidden gems in pass-catchers that can be stable with the right quarterback. Wentz would rather check down to his tight ends and keep the clock rolling.
