Packers: Za’Darius Smith surprised Preston Smith with an insane Christmas present (Video)
Za’Darius Smith had quite the surprise for teammate Preston Smith this holiday season.
The Green Bay Packers are sitting atop the NFC and can clinch a playoff bye this Sunday with a win over the Tennessee Titans in primetime. So the vibes are understandably good up in Green Bay.
Preston Smith and Za’Darius Smith have appeared in all 14 games this season and remain key pieces on a defense looking to make up for a playoff disaster last season. For now, it is time to celebrate the holidays and one Smith got the other quite the awesome gift.
A Christmas surprise from one Smith to another
Just your everyday purchase of a new car as a Christmas gift. This moment in particular is much more realistic than any commercial showing someone buying a significant other a new car with a giant bow and all that.
Chemistry like this is great for Packers fans to see. The Smiths are two veteran leaders in that Packers locker room and a gift like this, just out of the blue to be nice, shows the two have a special bond.
Za’Darius has been the star of the defense so far with his team-leading 11.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. Preston has four sacks to his name.
The Packers defense got embarrassed in last year’s NFC Championship Game as the San Francisco 49ers ran all over them. The team currently allows an average of 110 yards per game on the ground. In general the defense ranks eighth overall in yards allowed per game.
Fans in Green Bay may now be able to recognize Preston Smith’s new ride on the road. If he can help the Packers win a title he will hear plenty of honking on the road, but only with the best of intentions.
