We all had a hard time processing the Clippers getting demolished by the Mavs.

To say it was a rough Sunday for the Los Angeles Clippers is to tremendously undersell just how awful things were.

The Clippers got absolutely demolished by the Dallas Mavericks, falling behind by 50 points at halftime — that’s right, a fifty burger.

Los Angeles was missing Kawhi Leonard, who left Friday’s Christmas matchup with the Jazz after lacerating his mouth. While the absence of Leonard was undoubtedly going to make things difficult, there’s no excuse for how badly the Clippers looked without him.

It was a lot to process but we all tried to piece through the chaos together.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, the Mavericks went for the killshot by trolling the Clippers before halftime even rolled around.

Dallas beating the Clippers by as much as they did is going to be the headline, but don’t lose sight of the fact that the Mavericks are a really good team. Luka Doncic is one of the most exciting young players in the league and Mark Cuban has managed to build a team that could mix things up in the Western Conference this season.

The Clippers have issues, but we already knew this. Their embarrassing exit from the playoff bubble was a massive warning shot that things are not as settled as they should be and this blowout against Dallas picks at a scab that isn’t healed.
