NBA DFS Point Guards:
Russ is resting and despite the great matchup for Steph Curry against the Bulls, Iām walking away from it in GPPās. The upside for Curry just isnāt there with the team playing terrible all around him. Heās not Harden. Curry is at his best when creating for others enough that the defense sags off him.
It has been a great start for Kyrie Irving and the Nets. Thatās not going to end against Charlotte. There is blowout potential for the Nets here, but it doesnāt matter. Kyrie has smashed value in blowouts and otherwise. Heās a lock for cash games and has enough upside for GPP as well.
If this is another night like last night, Iām not sure DeāAaron Fox will do enough to land you above the cash line. There are value plays that are obliterating value right now. Fox is fine, but heās not going to be the guy that puts you over the top.
The Indiana guards looked great last night against the Bulls, but itās going to be a different story against Boston. Still, I like Malcolm Brogdon here more than CP3 or Sexton. Although I donāt mind using Paul in GPP formats. Brogdon is just more of a sure thing.
The Bucks are firing on all cylinders, but aside from Middleton, they havenāt really been fantasy monsters. I really do like Jrue Holiday against the Knicks though. Heās a good way to get a piece of this action at an affordable price.
The matchup doesnāt look great for Dejounte Murray, but the usage is going to be very high again with White still out. Still, Murray was a disappointment last night and could be again. Marcus Smart and Devonteā Graham are far safer options.
Markelle Fultz had a nice game against the Wizards last night. He should do it again tonight against the same team. Dennis Schroder is very nice at this price as well, but the matchup for Fultz is much better.
It thins out quickly at the bottom of point guard. Jeff Teague is a good option on the cheap with Kemba still out, but he was a disaster on Christmas Day. Iād much rather roll the dice with Patty Mills since he can score at will.
