College football DFS quarterback picks December 29:

Top Tier:

Sam Ehlinger is the highest priced player on the slate and I just can’t see paying that for him. The Colorado pass was solid and Ehlinger doesn’t really run anymore. Why pay that kind of premium for him when you can have the true dual threat of D’Eriq King for $600 less? Yeah, I know Miami has been awful in bowls lately. They will be here too, but they’ll get some points for a change. If you’re paying up for a QB, make sure it’s King.

Middle Tier:

It was a rough start to the season for Spencer Sanders from an injury in the first series of the season and COVID concerns, but he put up some good numbers down the stretch. I’m not a believer in the Miami defense. They are ball hawks, but they give up some big plays and can be had by good running games. Sanders will give a couple away, but he has elite talent around him on this offense. Enough for him to put up a strong stat line for the money.

Bargain Shoppers:

The Texas defense is outstanding among the front seven, but the back four leaves a lot to be desired. Enter Sam Noyer, who looked good against questionable secondaries all season. Utah and San Diego State still couldn’t hold him low enough to get me off of him as a value play here.
