DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks December 29

Like last week, the DraftKings EuroLeague tournaments are earlier in the week before the winter break. Five games tip off round 17 starting with Olympiacos taking on Khimki in Moscow at noon Eastern. Efes hosts Real Madrid in Istanbul a half hour later.

2pm Eastern brings Berlin hosting Kaunas. St. Petersburg and Maccabi tip off five minutes later in Tel Aviv. We close out the afternoon with Baskonia hosting Valencia at 3pm Eastern. This is a fun slate! Now we have to see who misses out on the fun.

Out: Peyton Siva (thigh), Kostas Papanikolaou (back), Patricio Garino (knee), Tibor Pleiss (undisclosed), Louis Labeyrie (leg), Vanja Marinkovic (shoulder), Steve Vasturia (knee), Sandy Cohen (personal), Anthony Randolph (Achilles), Dmitry Khvostov (surgery).

Questionable: Achille Polonara (ankle), Othello Hunter (back), Greg Monroe (undisclosed), Ben Lammers (ankle), Marcus Eriksson (ankle), Stefan Jovic (undisclosed), Guillem Vives (thigh), Erten Gazi (undisclosed).

Monroe hasn’t played for Khimki in almost a month, so don’t expect him back here either. Some report he’s on the outs with Khimki, so they have no reason to play him here.

Often in the EuroLeague season we see about ten players playing half the game. The upside on everyone is capped except for the few elites out there.

For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value. Keep that in mind when mining for value picks.
