NBA DFS picks December 29: Never fold a Joker

NBA DFS Point Guards:
There are a ton of options on a slate like this. Perhaps the most important thing is trying to gauge who is the best option when many players are priced similarly. Westbrook has been a triple-double machine in Washington and I expect that to continue. I don’t trust Curry and Simmons despite great matchups. For me, if you’re paying up at PG, go Westbrook or SGA.
D’Angelo Russell had arguably the worst game of his NBA career on Sunday against the Lakers. He couldn’t buy a shot and had as many turnovers and points and assists combined. It wont get any easier against the Clippers, but if Minnesota hangs around, Russell will be the only reason why.
Kyle Lowry is going to hit 5x value, but that’s about it. He’s far more valuable in cash games. Malcolm Brodgon offers the upside you want. So does Chris Paul. Both are cheaper than Lowry.
Coby White took advantage of a good matchup over the weekend and should be able to again against the Wizards. The Bulls are heading in the right direction thanks to guys like White. Fortunately for us, their prices are still mostly affordable.
Markelle Fultz has found his jump shot again. Now about those assists….. If Fultz can put both together, he’s going to have a big game sometime soon. However, I’m not sure it will be bigger than Darius Garland tonight. Garland could be in for a monster, especially if Burks is out.
Goran Dragic is an absolute steal at the price. So much so that no one else besides maybe Elfrid Payton moves the needle for value at the point. If you have to go really cheap, I’m a huge fan of George Hill starting for the Thunder. If you have the extra coin though, go Dragic.
Orlando is giving rookie Cole Anthony plenty of good looks early in his career. He’s not going to break a slate, but Anthony offers 6x value at a very low price.
