NFL quarterback rankings, Week 17: Aaron Rodgers is the MVP
2020 stats: 4,034 yards | 66.3 completion % | 28 TDs | 10 INTs | 7.2 YPA | 68.1 QBR
Last Week: 8
Herbert set the all-time rookie touchdown pass record on Sunday, getting his 28th of the campaign against Denver. Facing Kansas City’s backups in Week 17, there’s a good chance he cracks 30. What a tremendous year.
2020 stats: 4,234 yards | 65.9 completion % | 36 TDs | 11 INTs | 7.4 YPA | 71.9 QBR
Last Week: 7
Brady threw for 348 yards (12.9 YPA) and four touchdowns against the Lions in a 47-7 win. Oh, and he only played in the first half. His passing chart is every bit as absurd as the stats. His best game of 2020, even with the opponent factored in.
2020 stats: 4,031 yards | 69.7 completion % | 38 TDs | 13 INTs | 7.7 YPA | 73.1 QBR
Last Week: 5
Wilson has dropped off since the first seven weeks of the season, but he deserves to be in the top-five. The Seahawks are playing much better defensively and so less is required, but come playoff time, it’ll be up to Wilson if Seattle is to make a Super Bowl run.
2020 stats: 4,320 yards | 68.7 completion % | 34 TDs | 9 INTs | 7.8 YPA | 79.6 QBR
Last Week: 4
Allen is a clear third in the MVP race, and that’s meant as a compliment. He’s been brilliant this season, pairing with Stefon Diggs to give Buffalo a lethal combination. If the Bills win it all this year — and they could — it’s because of the monumental jump Allen took in his third year.
2020 stats: 4,458 yards | 70.1 completion % | 30 TDs | 6 INTs | 8.8 YPA | 71.7 QBR
Last Week: 3
Watson threw for 324 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions against the Bengals, at home, and lost. If that doesn’t sum up his situation in Houston, nothing does.
2020 stats: 4,740 yards | 66.3 completion % | 38 TDs | 6 INTs | 8.1 YPA | 82.7 QBR
Last Week: 1
Mahomes has to drop after having an off month. Over the last month, the Chiefs put up a goose egg in the red zone (vs. Denver), watched Mahomes throw three interceptions and take a 30-yard sack (at Miami), throw for less than 6.0 per attempt (at NO) and throw a hideous end-zone interception with another being dropped, which would have sealed a loss to Atlanta. Not great.
2020 stats: 4,059 yards | 70.3 completion % | 44 TDs | 5 INTs | 8.1 YPA | 83.9 QBR
Last Week: 2
With four touchdown passes on Sunday night — three to Davante Adams — Rodgers has locked up the MVP. He’s going to win his third and at age 37, might be playing the best ball of his career. Right now, the Packers are the team to beat in the NFC.
