Best Buy hours: New Year’s Day
By Chad Porto
If you’re looking to spend a gift card or something at Best Buy, it’ll be very helpful to know if the electronic retailer is going to be open for New Year’s Day.
New Year’s Day offers up a slew of unique needs and wants, with most people using the end of the holiday season as an opportunity to go shopping. Whether that’s to replace gifts they didn’t like or use gift cards and holiday-money given to them for the holidays on things they want. Maybe they want to find a new TV, or get a new video game console like a Nintendo Switch or a Play Station 5; Best Buy is usually a really good place for that. That is if they’re open on New Year’s Day.
Which, according to USA Today, they won’t be. The store will apparently have all of their in-store shopping halted on New Year’s Day, but will still allow for curbside pickup for those who order online. This may change from state to state, and hours will obviously fluctuate, so the best bet is to call ahead and find out. That way you’re not trying to figure out what to do when you get there and you can only get the thing you need by placing an order online.
So make sure you call ahead and go online to order your post-holiday present for yourself. Don’t hesitate to call your local Best Buy if you have any questions.
