Florida football: Kyle Trask officially declares for NFL Draft

Kyle Trask will be leaving the Florida football team after five years to enter the 2021 NFL Draft.
It was a good ride for Kyle Trask as the Florida Gators quarterback, but the redshirt senior has elected to turn pro and enter the 2021 NFL Draft.
Trask may have had a terrible final game quarterbacking the Florida football program, but the 2020 Heisman Trophy finalist accomplished enough in his college career to close that chapter of his life and embrace the journey ahead. A day after the Cotton Bowl Classic, Trask sent out a message to Gator Nation about his intentions to leave Gainesville after five incredible years.

Where is Kyle Trask slotted to go in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft?
While it is the Emory Jones show at Florida now, Trask leaves the SEC with 7,386 career passing yards for 69 touchdowns and only 15 interceptions. Though he could sneak into the back-end of the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Trask projects as the sixth quarterback off the board, likely going somewhere in the early-to-mid-40s. Ultimately, it all depends on fit for him to go earlier.
When we think of what Trask meant to the Florida program, he will be remember as the guy who helped bring the Gators back to national prominence under head coach Dan Mullen. It had been a long decade without strong quarterback play for Florida, but Trask separated himself from the pack and elevating teammates in the process. He sure made a name for himself as a Gator.
Trask will take his talents to the next level, knowing he gave his all for five years in Gainesville.
