No post on Sundays, but what about going to the post office on New Year’s Day?

Yes, people still go to the post office these days, but are these people who still go to the post office about to go to the post office on New Year’s Day? Can you get your mail fix in as well on the first day of the year?

Don’t be silly. You are not getting any mail on Friday, Jan. 1 2021, nor will you be able to go to the post office at your convenience. Sure, you can put stuff in your mailbox or drop something off in a dropbox, but it’s not going to move an inch until Saturday, Jan. 2. At least your precious stuff will be in transit for a day before not moving once again on Sunday, Jan. 3, but that is the way it is.

So what is a person to do besides going to their local post office or wait on the mail to arrive on New Year’s Day? Well, you can wait until Saturday to do both! We have done a lot of waiting in 2020 for all sorts of things, so you have probably gotten exceptionally good at it. Why not kick off 2021 in the same manner you crawled to the 2020 finish line with on bloodied knees?

For those of you out there in dire need of a stamp, you can order them online and move on with your life. If you need to ship something out, you should have done it a few days prior like the responsible individual you claim to be. You have 24 hours before you can lean on your beloved post office once again. You have been through far worse. You can do this because I believe in you.

Just pretend New Year’s this year is like a Sunday and you will be in great shape to overcome this.
