Giants fans are cursing Doug Pederson for awful decisions against Washington
Giants fans were irate over Eagles head coach Doug Pederson making a bunch of questionable decisions in the game against Washington.
It was a strange night for the NFC East. The Washington Football Team faced the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night football, but New York Giants fans were invested in the outcome to the point of rooting for their rivals.
Simply put, a Washington win would clinch the division. An Eagles win would hand the title and a playoff spot to New York.
The trouble for the Giants was relying on the Eagles to propel them to the playoffs. Philadelphia head coach Doug Pederson certainly wasn’t looking to do NY any favors.
In the third quarter, the Eagles found themselves near the goal line and facing a fourth down. Instead of taking a field goal to tie the game, Pederson decided to go for it. Jalen Hurts pass was incomplete and the scoring opportunity was wasted.
Giants Twitter was furious with Doug Pederson during Sunday Night Football
Immediately, Twitter jumped all over Pederson for blowing the call.

Even a Cowboys fan like Skip Bayless couldn’t believe Pederson’s decision-making, especially when he subbed out Jalen Hurts for Nate Sudfeld in the fourth quarter of a three-point game.
Giants fans were furious about that one too as they watched Sudfeld throw an interception on his first drive and lose a fumble on his second.
Whether it was a tank job to get the Eagles a better draft pick or a bid to sabotage the Giants’ playoff hopes, Pederson made very few friends on Sunday night.
At least one Giants fan could see the bright side of missing the playoffs.

At 6-9 on the season, the Giants definitely dug their own grave. Still, Pederson may be digging his own with these mind-boggling choices.
