Cardale Jones roasts Nick Saban’s daughter for her Ohio State COVID conspiracy theory

Former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones had the perfect comeback to Nick Saban’s daughter after she accused the Buckeyes of having BS COVID cases to buy more time to prep for Alabama in the National Championship Game.

Ohio State is dealing with some COVID issues that could potentially postpone the National Championship Game vs. Alabama from Jan. 11 to Jan. 18.

The game remains scheduled as-is as both are taking it day-by-day but the daughter of Alabama football coach Nick Saban tweeted a conspiracy theory that is going viral on social media. She tweeted Ohio State isn’t confident and accused them of having “BS” COVID cases to push the game back a week to allow more time for quarterback Justin Fields to get healthy after playing through an apparent rib injury in the Sugar Bowl win where he threw six touchdowns. She said Ohio State should have to play their backup quarterback if Fields can’t go.

That caught the attention of former Buckeyes quarterback Cardale Jones who had the perfect comeback to the absurd allegation.

Jones came off the bench when he was J.T. Barrett‘s backup after the latter was injured vs. Michigan. Jones led Ohio State to a win in the Big Ten Championship Game and then vs. Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1, 2015, as part of the College Football Playoff semifinal before the Buckeyes beat Oregon in the National Championship Game.

Ohio State shouldn’t have to go to their backup with Ryan Day saying on Monday that Fields will be playing in the championship game, but the last time Alabama faced a backup quarterback from Ohio State, Jones was quick to remind everyone that it didn’t go so well for the Crimson Tide.

Kristen Saban Setas later tweeted an apology.
