COVID issues with Ohio State could threaten to postpone the National Championship Game vs. Alabama.
The National Championship Game between Alabama and Ohio State may need to be postponed due to COVID issues with the Buckeyes.
News of the potential postponement comes from Matt Zenitz and John Talty of Al.com.
As of now, both teams are planning on playing the game on Monday, Jan. 11 but if the game is postponed, it will be played on Jan. 18.

Alabama-Ohio State remains on but COVID could push the game back a week
The College Football Playoff already had back-up dates should either of the semifinal games or the championship game be affected due to COVID.
In a year when countless games were postponed and canceled due to COVID, of course, the last game could be affected by the ongoing issues plaguing the nation and the entire globe.
Stay tuned as the next few days could determine whether the game is pushed back a week but for now the game remains as scheduled.
