3. Sign Liam Hendriks

The Dodgers bullpen is in desperate need of an upgrade. Kenley Jansen continues to experience a decline in his velocity and overall ability. Enter the reigning AL Reliever of the Year, Liam Hendriks.

The former Oakland Athletics reliever is the top arm on free agency after two dazzling seasons in a row including a 1.80 ERA in 2019 and 1.78 ERA in 2020. His ability to shut the door or even be a setup guy would make the Dodgers bullpen almost untouchable. Hendriks joining the ranks with Blake Treinen, Jansen, Brusdar Graterol, and Joe Kelly would give them among the best bullpens on paper in the majors. And that would be how they combat the soon-to-be Padres powerhouse.

The Dodgers are still the clear favorites in the NL West and the National League as a whole, but some work must be done to keep them ahead of the Padres and others for that matter to try and repeat.
