All it takes is a few words from Bauer to get people talking. This most certainly is the case following the Lindor trade. The Mets have been mentioned several times in reports as a potential landing spot for the Cy Young Award winner.
Last season for the Cincinnati Reds, Bauer was nothing short of fantastic. In the shortened 60-game season, the hard-throwing righty posted an impressive 1.73 ERA. As you might imagine, there are countless teams who would love to add him to their rotation starting this season.
At the same time, he’s not going to be cheap and will surely be demanding top dollar. Will new Mets owner Steve Cohen be the one to give it to him? That’s a question we’ll have to wait on to find out.
