The Alabama Crimson Tide take on The Ohio State Buckeyes as the two teams clash in the College Football National Championship Game.

College football fans, the most bittersweet moment of the 2020-21 season has finally arrived. It is the last college football game of the season but it is the biggest game of the year, the National Championship Game, that will see the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Alabama has dominated all of their opponents this season in all phases of the game and are coming off a still-impressive victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Rose Bowl. On offense, quarterback Mac Jones threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns while completing 25 of his 30 passes. Seven of those passes were caught by Heisman winner DeVonta Smith, who turned his seven receptions into 130 yards and three scores.

On the other side of the ball, the Ohio State Buckeyes are coming off a near-perfect performance that saw them beat the Clemson Tigers 49-28 in the Sugar Bowl. Despite taking a hard hit to his ribs early on, quarterback Justin Fields threw for 385 yards and six touchdowns. Fields was not alone on the Buckeye offense in having a big game, as running back Trey Sermon continued his postseason success by racking up 254 total yards and one touchdown.

Both offenses have a lot of firepower and we could be in for an old-fashioned shootout. Can the Buckeyes top the Alabama Trio? Or will the Crimson Tide seal the deal and win their third title in six years?

Here’s how to watch and bet on the Ohio State vs Alabama game

  • Date: Monday, Jan. 11
  • Start Time: 8 p.m. ET
  • Location: Miami Gardens, FL
  • Stadium: Hard Rock Stadium
  • TV Info: ESPN
  • Odds: Alabama -8.5, O/U 75.5
  • Live Stream: WatchESPN

Prediction: Both teams have the players on defense to make big stops and big plays to slow down the opposing offense but that may not be seen whatsoever in this matchup. Both offenses can run the ball, pass the ball, and have so much talent at the receiver position it is almost not fair. This game will come down to who has the ball last to top the other. Jones, Smith, and Najee Harris all have great performances but Fields and the Ohio State Buckeyes are on a mission to complete what they should have done a year ago, and take down the Crimson Tide, winning their first national title since 2014.

Score: Ohio State 45, Alabama 41
