LeBron James went all Stephen Curry on the Houston Rockets defense by looking away.

When the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, you just knew that LeBron James was going to do something great on the hardwood against James Harden’s team.

In the second quarter, James would attempt a 3-pointer from the corner, knowing with every fiber of his being that it was going in. LeBron was so sure of the bucket that he turned around and waited to hear the reaction from his teammates on the bench on his drained shot attempt.

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors made this type of extremely petty 3-ball famous, but James just took it to a whole other level as the Lakers took a 71-48 lead into halftime.

This is what happens when you are insanely talented and you are bored

Usually, James takes some precious me time in January. Typically, his NBA organization is in the midst of a chaotic situation. He wants players on his team shipped out and he wants his guys in there to help him get to another NBA Finals. But with the 2020-21 NBA season starting so late, James is in untrodden territory in the early part of the season. It looks like he is having fun here.

Next. Stephen Curry, Draymond Green are near peak form again. dark

You have to believe James went into warmups at some point recently thinking he could channel his inner Stephen Curry and make a ridiculously petty 3-point shot attempt like this. For years now, James’ long-range game has helped solidify his clutch gene. Besides the patented chase-down block, hitting soul-crushing 3s like this are just a part of his Hall-of-Fame arsenal.

Here is to James, Curry and whoever else wants to try it to keep raining down more no-look 3s.
