Pick Analysis. Pep Hamilton. 2. player. 13. Scouting Report. QBC. Los Angeles Chargers

Anthony Lynn’s Chargers tenure didn’t end in fantastic fashion, and he didn’t have a tremendous collection of elite coaching talent around him, but one coach that should be held in extremely high regard is Hamilton, who played an undeniably huge part in Justin Herbert’s sensational rookie season.

Hamilton’s best accomplishments in the NFL, before returning to the college ranks with Michigan, came with the Indianapolis Colts, as he made the jump from Stanford and helped Andrew Luck become one of the best quarterbacks in the game. Hamilton might be able to work his magic with Wilson.

Hamilton might not be a highly-publicized name on the coordinator circuit, but there are reports that the Seahawks are interested in him, especially if whomever the Chargers bring in decides to bring in a different quarterback coach.

While striving for balance on offense is a must, the Seahawks still need to hire someone that has expertise in the passing game, as making receivers like D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett take a back seat simply isn’t going to work.

If Hamilton helps coach Wilson out of some of his bad habits, the Seahawks can, and should, be playoff-bound again. As part of that hypothetical success, Hamilton’s stock within the NFL will continue to rise.
