Deshaun Watson’s latest vague tweet hints at intense anger towards Texans
By John Buhler
Deshaun Watson is not staying quiet over how frustrated he is with the Houston Texans.
The Houston Texans have so many problems these days and star quarterback Deshaun Watson could not be more fed up with how things are going for them.
Watson unleashed a vague tweet Friday: “I was on 2 then I took it to 10.” ESPN’s Adam Schefter gives us a better understanding of what this tweet meant. He believes those numbers suggest Watson’s anger level with the Texans. He was reportedly on a two when they dealt wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins, to the Arizona Cardinals. Now it seems like Watson has taken it up to a 10…
Have we seen the last of Deshaun Watson in Houston Texans uniform?
Houston was one of the worst teams in football last year. However, because their former head coach/de facto general manager Bill O’Brien traded away their rights to the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft for offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, the near-playoff-bound Miami Dolphins now have a top-three pick. All the while, the Texans have become nothing but dysfunctional.
Houston hired the search firm Korn Ferry to find their next general manager. Instead of following their advice and hire Omar Khan away from the Pittsburgh Steelers, they hired Jack Easterby’s old New England Patriots buddy Nick Caserio. Houston has still yet to hire a head coach, despite being the team with the longest opening. No wonder Watson has grown furious with owner Cal McNair.
Watson may start the season with the Texans, but they have to put out another fire here fast.
