Eagles fans are in their feelings over Andy Reid’s success in Kansas City after he advanced to the AFC Championship for the third year in a row with the Chiefs.
For fans of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Chiefs‘ victory over the Browns on Sunday brought forth some conflicting emotions.
On the one hand, former head coach Andy Reid continued his run of success, which is a feel-good story for anyone who has ever held him in high esteem.
On the other hand, Reid’s achievements can feel like a kick in the gut, especially when fans in Philadelphia just went through a quarterback controversy and the firing of head coach Doug Pederson.
Every step Reid takes towards another Super Bowl makes the Eagles’ Super Bowl triumph feel further and further away.
Eagles fans took to Twitter on Sunday to express themselves in a variety of ways.

Some Eagles fans, a lot of them actually, were actively rooting for Reid.

I’m an Eagles fan because I grew up watching Andy Reid dominate the NFC East. Watching him duel and dominate other coaches as an adult is just as fun. These divisional matchups are going to be so fun.

Others were looking at the coaching job Reid did with wonder and despair.

Every Eagles fan who accused Andy Reid of being overly conservative for so many years is wondering who they are even watching in K.C.

Andy Reid: *Calls a shotgun pass, with a back-up QB, on 4th and inches, with the AFC title game on the line, with less than 80 seconds to play, on the Chiefs own 48 yard line, up only 5*@Eagles fans: pic.twitter.com/L1ytdxhk03

Did Andy Reid really end this game with two timeouts left? His clock management has come so far

Still more just found the whole thing bizarre.
Of course, for some it was already time to start bracing for Reid to continue rolling.
Will be very interesting to see what another Andy Reid Super Bowl does to eagles fans psyches this year. I would guess we handle it poorly

Reid’s Chiefs are now heading to the AFC Championship Game against the Bills. It’s the third-straight AFC title game appearance for Kansas City. Reid did that once with the Eagles as well.
This time around Reid faces a major hurdle to get a second-straight Super Bowl appearance. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes left Sunday’s game to be evaluated for a concussion. His status for next weekend is very much up in the air.
Mahomes has been key to Reid’s resurgence in Kansas City. If he were able to beat the Bills with Chad Henne at the helm, it might go down as his greatest coaching job ever.
