Damian Lillard has passed Kobe Bryant on the list of the most 3-pointers made in NBA history.

Damian Lillard is one of the most exciting players in the NBA and proved it once again Monday afternoon when he dropped 35 points against the San Antonio Spurs.

His Portland Trail Blazers lost the game, but Lillard did make history and pass Kobe Bryant on an all-time NBA list in the process.

Dame passes Kobe

Lillard entered the game with 1,825 made 3-pointers in his NBA career. That put him just two behind the late Bryant. The Portland star knocked down three triples in Monday’s loss, thus vaulting him ahead of Bryant into 17th place all-time in the category. He is also on the verge of passing Chauncey Billups to move up to No. 15 with a few more made from behind the arc.

Passing Bryant on any list is a great accomplishment. The 30-year-old Lillard still has a long way to go in his career and should keep climbing up this leaderboard. Ray Allen holds the all-time record with 2,973 made 3-pointers, and five active player are still ahead of Lillard on the list.

This milestone is a testament to how consistent Lillard has been since entering the league in 2012. The former No. 6 overall pick has rarely missed time and is a five-time All-Star. He played and started in all 82 games during his rookie season and has not slowed down since.

The next active player likely to pass Bryant is Klay Thompson. He currently has 1,798 career made 3-pointers and should fly up the list if he can get healthy next season.

Lillard’s next milestone will be reaching 2,000 made 3-pointers for his career. At his current pace, he may end up as one of the most prolific shooters in NBA history.
