Ahead of a crucial NFC title game matchup, Tom Brady is having to dodge follow up questions to a strange Bruce Arians statement.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers this Sunday in what most anticipate to be one of the best playoff quarterback duels in recent memory as the two square off in the postseason for the first time. The Bucs took care of the New Orleans Saints, possibly ending Drew Brees’s illustrious career, while Green Bay comes in after having routed Jared Goff and the Rams in the divisional round.

As other Hall of Fame quarterbacks prepare for retirement, Tom Brady is instead one game away from yet another Super Bowl appearance to his outstanding resume. However, as he begins to taste playoff success with his new team, he’s reminded of past relationships.

Tom Brady responds to Bruce Arians’ statement

In a press conference on Friday afternoon, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was asked to respond to a somewhat strange statement that his head coach Bruce Arians made about the Patriots earlier in the week.

Said Arians via NBC Sports’ Peter King in regards to Brady, “I allow him to be himself. Like, New England didn’t allow him to coach. I allow him to coach. I just sit back sometimes and watch.”

The quote certainly picked up some steam, so much so that Brady was asked to respond to it today. Brady, obviously startled by the uncomfortable question, chose to deflect.

Despite having been displaced to Tampa Bay with a new roster and coaching staff, Tom Brady seems on pace for similar results as he’s had in the past. The Bucs will come in confident having handed Green Bay a thrashing when the two teams met back in October.
