Green Bay Packers fans took to Twitter to vent following a tight loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game.
Green Bay Packers fans saw Aaron Rodgers have a legendary season, and it appeared they were a team of destiny. That is, until Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers marched into Lambeau on Sunday, taking down the Packers to head to the Super Bowl.
The Packers were given plenty of opportunities to win. Brady threw three interceptions and finished with under 300 yards in the game. But a late blunder by Matt LaFleur to kick a field goal with just over two minutes remaining doomed a late comeback.
Fans had a tough time coping with the loss, and rightfully so.
Packers fans deal with another heartbreaking loss
The Packers have now lost consecutive NFC Championship Games, but this one hurts more as it was in Green Bay.
That’s it... hearts broken around Green Bay. #Packers #BucsVsPackers pic.twitter.com/U9U6ITFuPo

I really loathe Kevin King right now. #Packers

The difference this year is the Packers defense held the running game in check. Leonard Fournette finished with only 55 yards and Ronald Jones was limited to 16 yards. Settling for two short field goals was the ultimate difference, and fans have to wonder why Rodgers wasn’t given a shot on either fourth down to prove why he is so great.

Unlike last year this year really hurts even more
You wonder how many more chances like this would we have ?@AaronRodgers12
The last two minutes of the first half and the last #packers drive of the second half. Killers. Coaching.

Coming up short of a Super Bowl once again will turn attention toward the Green Bay front office. They did use a first-round pick on Jordan Love in 2020 and may want to get him on the field sooner than later after back-to-back losses in the NFC Championship Game.

Don’t even know what to say right now. This feels worse than Seattle. Just a horrible gut punch. #Packers

Rodgers and his squad were poised for a Super Bowl berth. Then Brady joined the NFC and he has proven there may be no other GOAT than him. Green Bay can still run it back next year, but changes may be made after another 13-3 season ended in heartbreak.
