. Indianapolis Colts. 46. AFC South. 2. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Everyone is plugging the Indianapolis Colts towards a deal with Matthew Stafford. It would make sense since they feel as if they’re a quarterback away from being a legitimate AFC contender for years to come. However, why not swing big and grab the other disgruntled NFC North quarterback.

There’s positives all around in Indy unlike Green Bay. A majority of the defensive stars will be returning in 2021, meaning the top-five unit remains in-tact. The team is hopeful to bring back TY Hilton, but also have stars in the making like Michael Pittman and Jonathan Taylor.

On top of that, the offensive line is near flawless and the running game will alleviate pressure off throwing the ball 40 times a game. And with the salary cap being far from a problem, general manager Chris Ballard could add more than just a top-flight quarterback this offseason to contend.

Will the Colts be willing to part ways with a hefty draft capital? That’s where the problem lies. The AFC South is winnable and Buffalo looks to be the only real threat to Kansas City. Indianapolis needs to decide if they want to be good or great.

A quarterback of Rodgers’ status answers that question.
