Nets vs Thunder live stream reddit for January 29
By Mark Powell
Kevin Durant and James Harden make another return to OKC — this time as teammates.
Sam Presti might have nightmares after this one. The Thunder possessed one of the best young, homegrown Big 3’s in recent memory, as they drafted all three of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden. While Presti remains one of the best general managers in the sport, perhaps his biggest flaw was eventually losing all three of them after their well-renowned NBA Finals run in 2012.
Of course, that team ran into an older, more mature Big 3 looking for their first championship in LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, and we all know how that ended.
After trading away Chris Paul last offseason, the Thunder are in a clear rebuilding mode with a bevy of draft picks over the next half-decade thanks to a number of savvy deals from Presti, including moving Paul George to the Clippers. This young team, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, will not go away easily.
The Nets are fresh off another overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks. This road stretch is arguably the best test for their group of superstars yet, and playing without Durant in OKC will make this game even tougher. We’ll see if Harden and Kyrie Irving can carry the load.
