26. Donovan McNabb and Marvin Harrison, Syracuse

The greatest duo to ever hit the Carrier Dome is undoubtedly Donovan McNabb and Marvin Harrison. These two were great pros in completely different offenses, but they started their legacies together in upstate New York.

Harrison was floundering with the Orange for years. He was fine as a receiver, but he never really hit the heights his talents suggested it should. Harrison was catching balls from the likes of Kevin Mason and Marvin Graves before McNabb joined the team. Harrison never really broke out until that senior year when he was paired with McNabb.

It was clear that Harrison was just waiting to be unleashed. Head coach Paul Pasqualoni finally found the answer to make his future star wide receiver going. Harrison had 1,131 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He also added two kick returns for a touchdown just to prove the untapped talent Syracuse had this whole time.

Syracuse was able to put a nice season together with Harrison and McNabb. They started the season off by beat a ranked North Carolina team. They finished the season strong, beating Clemson 41 to 0 in the Gator Bowl. It showed that these two were building on their chemistry just a tad too late. Harrison finished his college career with 173 yards and two touchdowns.

These two needed each other earlier than they met each other. Harrison went to the NFL after McNabb’s first year in the offense. He went on to have a Hall of Fame career, so it worked out pretty well for him. However, Syracuse alum wished this duo had more time together.
