The Georgia football team is the favorite to land four-star defensive tackle Bear Alexander.
Four-star defensive tackle Bear Alexander will be committing on Wednesday, and he is expected to Commit to the G.
Alexander will announce his commitment on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 1:00 p.m. ET. He is the No. 9 defensive tackle, the No. 22 player from Texas and the No. 140 player in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite. The Denton, Texas native has 29 formal offers and is drawing serious interest from six other Power 5 teams besides the Georgia football program.
Will Bear Alexander take his four-star commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs?
Other teams vying for Alexander’s 2022 commitment include the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Florida Gators, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Oklahoma Sooners, the Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies. While it would make sense for him to stay in-state and commit to Texas or Texas A&M, Georgia is seen as the favorite to land his commitment on Wednesday afternoon.
Georgia is one of those programs certainly capable of going into a talent-rich state like Texas and getting who they want. Alexander’s primary recruiter is defensive line coach Tray Scott, with special teams coordinator Scott Cochran serving as his secondary. Landing a player of Alexander’s caliber out of state will go a long way towards Georgia achieving another top-five class for 2022.
As long as Georgia keeps recruiting at this level, the Dawgs can field a playoff-contending team.
