It’s almost the big day and many people around the world are gathering their best dip recipes, ordering their various pizzas and planning their grocery store lists. But don’t forget one of the most important things to help Super Bowl Sunday run smoothly … booze.
We’ve compiled a selection of cocktail recipes for all different tastes and with plenty of time to order the liquor and stock your bar.
Now raise your glass to whoever you are rooting for, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Recuerdo Mezcal Lombardi
1.5oz Recuerdo Mezcal Joven
1oz passion fruit juice
1.5 oz orange juice
.5oz lime juice
.25oz simple syrup
Club soda
Directions: Shake all the ingredients except for the club soda over ice, strain and serve into a highball glass with fresh ice, top off with club soda, and garnish with a slice of star fruit.
The D’USSE New Fashioned
Glassware: Rocks
Ingredients:
2 parts D’USSE VSOP Cognac
¾ part simple syrup
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
orange peel and brandied cherry to garnish
Directions: Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir until cold. Strain into a rocks glass with a large-format ice cube. Twist orange peel over the cocktail to release the oils.
Home Turf
Ingredients:
1 part Monkey Shoulder
1.5 parts Soda
Orange Wedge
Directions: Pour Monkey Shoulder into rocks glass and add ice. Top with soda and garnish with an orange wedge.
The Kansas City Kicker
1 oz Cointreau
2 oz Blanco Tequila
0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
2 slices Jalapeño
2 slices fresh cilantro
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until well-chilled. Stain into a chilled Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with a jalapeño pepper.
The Diplomatico Big Game Winter Highball
Ingredients:
50 mL Diplomático Mantuano
50 mL apple juice
50 mL ginger ale
Garnish: Cinnamon sticks
Directions: Mix all ingredients in a highball glass with ice cubes. Garnish with a cinnamon stick
Tequila Touchdown Cocktail

1 oz Tequila Don Julio Blanco
3 oz Vita Coco Coconut Water
3 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
2 oz Sparkling Water
Half Jalapeño, thinly sliced
Directions: Combine all ingredients except sparkling water in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a glass with fresh ice, top with sparkling water and garnish with lime or jalapeño.
Hendrick’s Fantasy Punch
Ingredients:
1.5 parts Hendrick’s Gin
.25 parts Maraschino Liqueur
.5 parts Elderflower Cordial
.5 parts freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 parts apple cider
Directions: Build in punch bowl over block of ice. Stir and serve.
Captain Morgan And Ginger
1.5 oz. Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
4 oz. Ginger ale or Ginger Beer
Mint Sprig
Lime
Directions: Muddle mint and lime in the bottom of a tall glass. Add ice, Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, and Ginger Ale. Garnish with mint sprig and lime wheel, stir and serve.
Triple Threat
Ingredients:
1 part Tullamore DEW
1 part Monkey Shoulder
.75 parts lemon juice
.5 parts Orgeat
.5 parts simple syrup
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and add ice. Shake and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange wedge.
Hail Milagro Mary
Ingredients:
2 parts Milagro Reposado
1.5 parts jicama juice
1 part tomatillo juice
.5 parts fresh lime juice
6 drops chipotle sauce
1 rib of celery
A pinch of black salt
Directions: Build in highball glass with ice. Garnish with celery, cherry tomatoes and lime wedge.
The Tangy Tampa Margarita
1 oz Cointreau
2 oz Blanco Tequila
1 oz Celery Juice
0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
0.5 oz Fresh Orange Juice
Directions: Add all ingredients to shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with orange peel and/or wheel.
Captain Morgan and Pineapple
1.5 oz. Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
4 oz. Pineapple Juice
Directions: Combine Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum and pineapple juice in a glass over ice. Garnish with a fresh slice of pineapple and a mini umbrella
Coconut Tawny Port Steamer

2 cans of coconut milk
12 oz Croft Tawny Port
4 oz brandy
1/4 cup turbinado sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
1 nutmeg, chopped into two
1 vanilla bean, split
Directions: Add coconut milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg & vanilla bean into a medium saucepan on medium-low. Whisk to break up any coconut cream. Bring to just below a simmer*. Heat for 15 mins to infuse the spices, whisking periodically. Add Croft Tawny Port & brandy to the pan. Simmer for 5-10 mins to warm. Remove vanilla bean pod and nutmeg before serving. Use a ladle to sever into mugs or teacups. Grate nutmeg on top and garnish with whole star anise. *Do not let the mixture boil. It will cook off the alcohol as well as burn the coconut milk.
Proper Champ Champ Blitz
2 parts Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
4 parts Orange Soda
1 orange slice
Directions: Pour Proper No. Twelve over ice. Top with orange soda. Garnish with orange slice.
Jerry’s Tailgate Punch
2 parts Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
2 parts lemonade
2 parts watermelon juice
Top with American light lager
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a pitcher or punch bowl. Garnish with lemon slices and mint.
Captain Morgan Apple Crisp
1.5oz Captain Morgan Sliced Apple
½ oz. lemon juice
Lemon Slice
Directions: Pour Captain Morgan Sliced Apple into a shot glass with lemon juice. Squeeze lemon.
Super Smoke
Ingredients:
2 parts Hudson Whiskey Back Room Deal
4 parts Bloody Mary Mix
Bloody Mary Mix recommendation:
4 parts tomato juice
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
2 tsp prepared horseradish
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 pinch celery salt
1 pinch smoked paprika
1 pinch ground black pepper (to taste)
Directions: Combine the whiskey and bloody mary mix in a shaker tin. Roll the ingredients back and forth between the shakers several times to combine. Pour the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice. Top the drink with freshly ground black pepper, to taste and garnish with blue cheese olives
