Gentry Williams is one of the most exciting athletes in his class. He’s a state champion track star and perhaps the most athletic of any recruit. Playing a little bit of quarterback, defensive back and wide receiver at the High School level, Williams has plenty of hype to his game.

It will be interesting to see which position he plays at the college level. He’s been a successful quarterback in high school, but also hasn’t been shy either about wanting to give a try at utilizing his speed as a wide receiver.

Then there’s the fact he can play defensive back and lineup against a top wideout and not be over-matched thanks in part to his incredible speed. With talent this unique, a top program has a chance to unlock something special.

Williams is a major target for the University of Oklahoma. It makes all the sense in the world as well with the athlete being a local product. Landing the top recruit in the state is a must for the program as well.

So in the end, it will be fun to see where he does end up playing in college. With his various talents, it may be best to not pigeon hole him into a singular role either.

Prediction: Oklahoma
