  • Composite Rankings: No. 10, No. 5 CB

The cornerback class in 2022 is absolutely stacked. There are five cornerbacks in the top 10 in the composite rankings in the class. One of those five-star recruits is Jacksonville’s, Jaheim Singletary.

It’s a great class for defensive backs altogether if you also include the five-star safeties and athletes that could end up transitioning into a defensive back role once they reach the college level in 2022.

The 6-foot-1 cornerback has already made his commitment to playing for the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2022. Singletary has a crazy 74-inch wingspan to go along with his height that makes him a pro at breaking up passes before the receiver can even touch them.

The Buckeyes have been a cornerback factory and they’ve done a tremendous job developing players into high end picks. Singletary possesses that kind of talent and is going to win some games in clutch moments for Ohio State with his defense.

He’s not the fastest cornerback in the world, but his size, football IQ and physicality offset it. He’s going to thrive in the Big Ten and turn himself into a rising star in college football sooner rather than later.
