Kentucky football lands talented four-star inside linebacker Trevin Wallace in a big National Signing Day add for Mark Stoops and the Wildcats.

Kentucky football secured the signing of four-star inside linebacker Trevin Wallace on National Signing Day which is bad news for Auburn and Ole Miss.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Wallace is the nation’s No. 140 overall recruit, No. 9 inside linebacker and the No. 15 recruit in the state of Georgia. Wallace is one of the three-four-star recruits to sign their national letter of intent with Kentucky and the Wildcats have the No. 30 best 2021 recruiting class nationally and No. 11 class in the SEC.

According to Rivals, if Wallace made a decision in December, he would have picked Auburn. That could prove to be a big loss for Bryan Harsin’s defense. Ole Miss had a chance too, but it came down to the consistency of the Wildcats staff in showing interest in Wallace.

Kentucky football made Trevin Wallace a priority

Wallace said: “I had to evaluate a lot to help me make this decision, but it really came down to the connection me and my family had with the Kentucky staff,” said Wallace. “It is not just me, but my mother and my father have strong relationships with the staff, and we all trust the coaches there.”

Both of his parents love the education and football opportunities that Kentucky affords. Wallace mentioned that the coaching staff’s honesty from head coach Mark Stoops on down to the position coaches was a big reason why he chose the Wildcats as well.

Wallace is a hard-hitting linebacker and a sure tackler in space. That will bode well for the Wildcats defense. Will he start as a freshman? Time will tell, but Wallace has found a football home.
